The “biggest deal of the year”, as the company describes it, was rolled out early in November as a Black Friday special offer (Black Friday is on November 29 in the USA and elsewhere). The deal ends on December 2, 11:59 EST.
But what really changes post December 2? Nothing, as the 6 months extended offer on the 2-year subscription of Surfshark One+ will change to 4 months January 6, 2025, and not in December.
So technically, you can grab the deal well into January, and you don’t have to join the Black Friday madness to get the 6 months extra. But wait, I discovered something even sweeter and better when I contacted their support team.
Can You Get an Indefinitely Valid Surfshark 2 Years Deal?
Not being sure about the expiry date of the Surfshark 2 years deal (with 6 months extra on the One+ plan), I decided to hear it from the horse’s mouth and contacted one of their live support agents (Finn Mercer).
And here’s where the whole thing got even more interesting. I asked him whether the offer really expires on January 6, 2025, or it is valid up to December 9 this year. In reply, Finn offered me something which I never expected.

The Surfshark 2-year deals are by miles better than the deals on shorter duration plans. Leaving aside the 1-month plans, which are some of the most expensive short-term VPN plans in the market right now, even the Surfshark 1-year plan discount code are no match.
With the 2-year deal on the Surfshark One+, you get 6 months extra. With the other 2-year plans, you get 4 months extra. Also, you save $1 or even more on per-month-cost when you choose the 2-year plan.
Does the Deal Outshine ExpressVPN Deals?
Surfshark is a direct competitor of ExpressVPN, which is one of the highest-rated VPN’s at this moment. I found that ExpressVPN’s plans are more expensive. However, what I liked about ExpressVPN is their transparent pricing policy. Surfshark renewal cost may surprise you at the end of the first year if you go for the 1-year plans, but ExpressVPN has a relatively straightforward pricing policy.
